Kyung Kim is an experienced finance professional who has more than a decade in the financial services industry. Prior to joining AVANA Capital, Kyung spent 11 years at GE Capital in various roles, including M&A, business development and strategic planning.

At AVANA Capital, Kyung leads the company’s efforts to expand its product line in existing and new markets. AVANA Capital is a private debt fund that looks to drive meaningful job growth in the U.S. through commercial real estate debt investments. Since inception, AVANA has funded $1.4 billion in real estate transactions through SBA, construction and bridge lending programs. AVANA focuses on properties in hospitality, renewable energy, multifamily, healthcare and student housing.

Kyung earned undergraduate degrees in industrial engineering and quantitative economics from Stanford University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.
